Paul’s Earliest Method Of Evangelism

“Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews: And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures” (Acts 17:1-2).

Paul’s earliest method of evangelism was to take the Christian gospel to the synagogues of the Jews, for the purpose of making Christian converts from among his fellow Israelites. He had no intention of ever reverting to his former Pharisaicalness by virtue of his attendance at Jewish synagogue worship. Rather, his intention by being there in the first place was wholly for the sake of using the opportunity as a springboard to evangelism.

Paul understood that his Jewish countrymen needed Jesus as their personal Saviour, too, and he was there to help them learn, from their own Old Testament scriptures, that Jesus of Nazareth was indeed the fulfilment of the nation of Israel’s messianic hope.

How vastly different among so many professed American evangelical Christians today! Now we have the likes of mega-TV evangelist John Hagee, who openly declares that modern Jews do not need Jesus as their personal Saviour anymore, because their coming Messiah is really going to be someone else!

John Hagee is an antinomian Scofield/Darbyite theological heretic in a major modern cult of false doctrine, make no mistake! So, it is not surprising that in his “return to Judaism” by virtue of his Scofield/Darbyism Hagee majorily advocates support for the Zionist State of Israel–the real enemy of international peace and stability in modern times.

Hagee is not alone. Millions partake with him in the betrayal and demise of historic biblical Christianity through the avenue of dispensational premillennial end-time Bible prophecy delusionalism.

The gospel is for everyone! American congregations of Darbyites need evangelized just as badly as does anyone else. St. Paul was a missionary to his own kind of people first. Their prejudicial intransigence later drove him to the Gentiles.
