The Tragic Bible End-time

The true biblical end-time will be a replay of the flood that happened in  Noah's day, only this time it will not be water that sweeps away the deceived, but fire (Matthew 24:37-39; II Peter 3:10, 12).

The ten horns will hate the great whore Babylon and burn her with fire (Revelation 17: and all of Revelation chapter 18), an event that appears to happen in conjunction with a great earthquake described in Revelation 6:12; 8'5; 11:13, 19; 16:15.

Now who is the great whore, Babylon, that is destined to be destroyed, suddenly and unexpectedly, by a massive conflagration at the biblical end-time?

There can be little doubt that "the faithful city that became a harlot" of Isaiah 1:21 and Ezekiel chapter 23, "the Jerusalem that is beneath, that is in  bondage with her children" of Galatians 4:25, and the "Sodom and where also our Lord was crucified" of Revelation 11:8 is the Babylon of the Apocalypse.

"Earthly Jerusalem" now reigns over the kings of the earth (Revelation 17:18), that is, they are one with her in the tradition of self-righteousness and self-gratification. Earthly Jerusalem dominates over dwellers who reject, or fail to enter, the heavenly kingdom of the Christ, and thus become citizens of that "Jerusalem from above, which is free, and the mother of us all" (Galatians 4:26).

Friends, when we boil it all down there  are only two classes of people on earth attempting two very different ways of salvation.  The first is the way of self-righteousness, following Cain, and corresponding to that earthly Jerusalem, which the inspired apostle affirmed was to be "cast out" (Galatians 4:30). The second, following the obedience of Able, corresponds to those whose citizenship is now in heaven by virtue of the new birth.

The great tragedy of the end-time, friends, is that the witnesses of God die in old Jerusalem (Revelation 11:7-8). Yes, the Bible has amazingly predicted  in the allegorical portrayal of the two witnesses in Revelation chapter eleven that the evangelical Christian church-world will experience major doctrinal apostasy at the end-time—that she will leave off testifying of Jesus as a present Messiah, and return to the beggarly elements of a Christ-rejecting Judaism.  In this sad condition of apostasy she will be completely overcome and destroyed by the unbridled carnage of an unleashed devil (Revelation 11 20:7-9).

Friends, let us determine to be fireballs for Jesus in these last days,  and not among those who, having ideologically returned to Judaism by way of the Darbyite heresy, are now spiritually slain in the polarized, poisoned malaise of the reactionary legalism vs. antinomianism "pit" of old Jerusalem.

Beware of those who "pit" things one against the other--Jew against Gentile, church against kingdom, rapture against revelation, law against gospel, faith against reason, state of the believer against standing of the believer, radical preterism against total (Darbyite) futurism, conservatives against liberals, and the left against the right, for examples.

The tragic biblical end-time is the result of a world that is polarized beyond repair. Holiness is a harmonizing experience. Let's come back to true Bible holiness, and avert unnecessary tragedy, what do you say?

"Love only can the strength of sin subdue, come Oh my Savoir, cast out sin, and make my heart anew"

"Plenteous grace with thee is found!"

"Come ye sinners, one and all"!
