What Christians Will Go Through Before Christ Returns

“Behold I come as a thief, Blessed is he that watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame” (Rev. 16:15).

The above announcement and warning concerning the coming of Christ occurs in the context of the outpouring of the seven vials of God’s wrath upon the earth. Jesus has not yet come as a thief in the night at this point, proving that, contrary to what the false teachers of modern dispensational premillennialism are saying, Christians will still be on earth when the wrath of God happens.

Thus, the warning given by Jesus in Revelation 16:15 applies specifically to the end-time church of our very day. Friend, you need to get out of the dispensational premillennial gestalt, and wake up to it!

The vials of wrath detailed in this chapter relate to the fall of Babylon (16:19). And this great whore Babylon, which is to be destroyed suddenly and unexpected by massive fire power at the biblical end-time is us, the United States of America!

Friend, you and I, as Christians, will soon be right in the middle of the coming destruction of the American idol empire Babylon! Soon we will literally see with our own eyes God using both unprecedented natural disasters, and our enemies, to destroy us for our sin and wickedness.

Please read the entire sixteenth chapter of Revelation for the full details. Taken literally, what is about to happen here is pretty self-explanatory. Rampant sexual immorality is only one cause of the coming judgment. Hubristic pride and self-righteousness are also major factors that are involved.

The backslidden antinomian American church-world (of which most of us are now a part) has so mesmerized our minds concerning the realities of sin and righteousness that many of us simply cannot relate to any thought of coming judgment. In the context of our current social delusion, moral pollution, and cultural garbage, friends, Jesus calls us still to watch and pray, and keep our garments pure!

Lord, help us all to do exactly that! Amen.
