Why Should The USA Be On The Modern State Of Israel's Side?
One of the deeply ingrained prejudices of Scofield/Darbyism that you and I need to "get over" fast is the very popular idea among the FALSE-fundamentalist religious right movement in America today that God is now blessing and protecting our nation for "being on the Jew's side."
Now please calm down, and think reasonably with me about this for a few moments, if you will.
First, the United States of America became a nation in 1776. The modern State of Israel became a nation in 1948.
Now American history (NOT modern liberal rewritten American history, but "old school" American history) tells us that our country experienced the beneficial side effects of many and various great revivals of biblical Christianity from the earliest days of its founding. Of note are the first and second "great awakenings" that happened in America long before Israel became a nation in 1948.
Now let me ask you this revealing question: Where has our nation been heading since she supposedly became so "blessed" for being on the Jews side since 1948?
Well, let's see here:
1. We took prayer out of our public schools since Israel became a nation in 1948.
2. We legalized abortion since 1948.
3. Hollywood movies have greatly corrupted the morals of our society since we got to be on the Jews side after 1948.
4. Rock music and drugs have become much more prominent since then.
5. Teenage pregnancies, divorce and remarriage, and homosexuality have exploded among us since then.
6. Most churches have thrown away the Bible standards of holy living in dress since then.
Yes, we are a far wealthier nation, materialistically speaking, since 1948, but what do the Jews have to do with that? Religiously, as a culture and society, we have gone into moral bankruptcy!
Wake up, and be not deceived!
